About the role#
Vincennes University is hiring a Professional Math Tutor to work with American Sign Language students. This is a part-time position focused on one-on-one instruction. You will help students navigate various math skill levels within an immersive learning environment.
What you'll do#
- Tutor ASL students in math for 2 to 3 hours per week.
- Use diverse instructional methods to match student needs.
- Create a supportive environment that encourages active student participation.
- Track student attendance and log time spent on tutoring sessions.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Math or a related field.
- The ability to maintain student confidentiality regarding personal information and learning progress.
- Fluency in American Sign Language is preferred.
- A Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field is a plus.
- Previous college-level teaching experience is helpful.
