About the role#
We are looking for an accounting student to join our team in Montreal. This is a full-time, paid position that provides hands-on experience with financial operations and reporting. You will work on-site and participate in tasks that support our monthly and annual financial cycles.
What you'll do#
- Perform accounting entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare invoices and credit notes based on received requests.
- Approve invoices using Concur.
- Analyze variances and resolve issues related to account reconciliation.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual audit files.
- Produce payment reports for producers.
- Validate data accuracy for financial purposes.
- Help prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
- Conduct financial analyses to support operations.
- Suggest improvements to existing accounting processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting program.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and a solid grasp of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Intermediate English skills for written and verbal communication with internal and external partners.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a sense of responsibility.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Initiative and an interest in process improvement.
- Knowledge of SAP, Concur, or Hyperion is an asset.
