About the role#
The DVM/VMD Externship at Essex Middle River Veterinary Center provides students with hands-on clinical experience in a supportive, companion-focused environment. This role is designed for students seeking mentorship and exposure to a wide range of veterinary services, including wellness, dentistry, and surgery. Externs will work alongside a team of experienced professionals in a practice that has served the local community since 1950.
What you'll do#

What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School pursuing a VMD or DVM degree.
- Interest in developing clinical skills in wellness, dentistry, and surgery.
- Desire to learn from experienced veterinarians and contribute to a collaborative team.
- Relevant academic background in fields such as Biology, Nursing, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, or Kinesiology.
