About the role#
Manchester Veterinary Services offers a DVM/VMD externship for students currently enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary school. This is a paid, full-time opportunity located in Manchester, Maryland. You will gain hands-on experience in a modern facility that provides a range of services for companion animals and small mammals.
What you'll do#
- Assist with routine veterinary work.
- Participate in surgeries and treatments as they become available.
- Collaborate with our veterinarians on patient care.
- Engage in mentorship and training opportunities.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary school (DVM or VMD degree path).
- Strong clinical interest in wellness and dentistry.
- Ability to gain experience with basic soft tissue and ophthalmic surgeries.
- Familiarity with in-house lab capabilities, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser.
