About the role#
Manchester Veterinary Services offers a DVM/VMD externship for students seeking hands-on experience in a companion animal and small mammal practice. This externship provides mentorship from experienced veterinarians in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The practice is fully equipped with modern facilities and technology to support patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist with routine veterinary work and daily patient care.
- Collaborate with veterinarians to support clinical operations.
- Participate in surgeries and treatments as opportunities arise.
- Gain exposure to basic soft tissue and ophthalmic surgeries.
- Engage in mentorship and professional training opportunities.
- Contribute to a positive team culture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School (VMD or DVM degree path).
- Strong clinical interest in wellness and dentistry.
- Familiarity with in-house lab capabilities, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser.
- An interest in pursuing experience with soft tissue and ophthalmic surgeries.
