About the role#
Woodlake Animal Hospital in Midlothian, Virginia, is seeking a DVM/VMD extern to join our four-doctor practice. As an AAHA-accredited hospital, we focus on providing high-quality integrative and preventative care through a high-touch approach that prioritizes strong relationships with our clients and patients.
What you'll do#
- Provide high-quality integrative and preventative care under the guidance of experienced mentors.
- Engage directly with clients and patients to deliver exceptional veterinary service.
- Collaborate with our team of veterinarians and technicians in a supportive, high-functioning environment.
- Utilize our facility's resources, including in-house lab capabilities, digital x-ray, and ultrasound.
- Gain practical experience with basic and routine surgeries.
- Explore clinical applications of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA-accredited veterinary school (VMD or DVM degree path).
- A warm, caring, and confident professional demeanor.
- A genuine interest in collaborating with experienced DVMs and technician teams.
- An eagerness to learn about integrative medicine and surgical procedures.
