    About the role#

    Dr. Dan's Animal Hospital in Vero Beach, Florida, is seeking a DVM/VMD student extern to join their community-focused practice. This externship offers the opportunity to work alongside three experienced veterinarians and a skilled support staff in a modern facility equipped with advanced diagnostics and an on-site laboratory. Externs will receive mentorship and hands-on training, with a stipend provided to assist with housing and travel costs.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to pets and their families.
    • Collaborate with experienced veterinarians in a supportive, team-based environment.
    • Participate in preventative care, client education, and behavior consultations.
    • Gain practical experience in surgery and dentistry.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an AVMA-accredited Veterinary School (VMD or DVM degree path).
    • A strong passion for veterinary medicine and a commitment to compassionate care.
    • A desire to work in a collaborative environment.
    • An interest in receiving mentorship and hands-on training.

    • Location: Vero Beach, Florida.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Employment Type: Full-time.
    • Compensation: Paid (stipend provided).
