About the role#
Dr. Dan's Animal Hospital in Vero Beach, Florida, is seeking a DVM/VMD student extern to join their community-focused practice. This externship offers the opportunity to work alongside three experienced veterinarians and a skilled support staff in a modern facility equipped with advanced diagnostics and an on-site laboratory. Externs will receive mentorship and hands-on training, with a stipend provided to assist with housing and travel costs.
What you'll do#
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to pets and their families.
- Collaborate with experienced veterinarians in a supportive, team-based environment.
- Participate in preventative care, client education, and behavior consultations.
- Gain practical experience in surgery and dentistry.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA-accredited Veterinary School (VMD or DVM degree path).
- A strong passion for veterinary medicine and a commitment to compassionate care.
- A desire to work in a collaborative environment.
