About the role#
Dr. Dan's Animal Hospital in Vero Beach, Florida, invites veterinary students to join our team as an extern. You will work alongside experienced veterinarians in a well-established, community-focused practice. Our team includes three veterinarians and nine support staff, including dedicated surgery technicians and veterinary assistants. We provide a supportive environment for students to gain clinical experience in a modern facility with advanced diagnostics and an on-site laboratory.
What you'll do#
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to pets.
- Collaborate with our team of experienced veterinarians.
- Participate in preventative care and client education.
- Engage in behavior consultations.
- Learn about surgery and dentistry procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School in a VMD or DVM degree path.
- A genuine passion for veterinary medicine.
- A desire to work in a collaborative, supportive environment.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care to patients.
- An interest in mentorship and hands-on training.
