About the role#
Arnold Veterinary Hospital offers a clinical externship for veterinary students. You will work alongside a team of three veterinarians and support staff in a small animal practice. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting while receiving mentorship from experienced clinicians.
What you'll do#
- Provide quality patient care and maintain healthy client relationships.
- Work directly with a Fear Free certified veterinarian to practice low-stress handling techniques.
- Gain clinical experience in wellness, dentistry, and routine surgery.
- Participate in daytime emergency medicine cases.
- Engage in mentorship and clinical training to build your skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary school pursuing a VMD or DVM degree.
- Willingness to learn and adapt within a cooperative team environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients.
- Interest in developing skills across wellness, dentistry, and surgery.
