DVM/VMD Extern

About the role#

Walkersville Veterinary Clinic is seeking a DVM/VMD Extern to join our team in Walkersville, Maryland. This externship offers an opportunity to work within an established hospital that has served the community for over 45 years. Externs will gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment supported by a dedicated team of veterinarians and staff.

What you'll do#

• Provide comprehensive care for both small and large animals.
• Participate in daily veterinary practices and clinical operations.
• Engage in mentorship opportunities with experienced veterinarians.
• Contribute to a collaborative work culture.
• Support long-term community relationships between the clinic, clients, and their pets.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School (VMD or DVM degree path).
• A passion for providing exceptional, compassionate animal care.
• The ability to build lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
• A commitment to community-focused veterinary medicine.
