About the role#
Walkersville Veterinary Clinic offers a DVM/VMD externship for students currently enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary school. This program provides hands-on experience in a well-established hospital that has served Frederick and surrounding counties for over 45 years. Externs work alongside a dedicated team of four veterinarians and experienced support staff in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide comprehensive care for both small and large animals, including canine, feline, equine, bovine, and small ruminant patients.
- Participate in daily veterinary practices and clinical operations.
- Engage in mentorship opportunities with experienced veterinarians.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work culture.
- Support long-term community relationships with clients and their pets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School pursuing a VMD or DVM degree.
- Dedication to providing exceptional medical, surgical, and dental care.
