About the role#

Tipton Ridge Veterinary Medical Center offers a hands-on externship program for veterinary students seeking to develop their clinical skills in a collaborative environment. This role provides direct exposure to high-standard medical care and the opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinary professionals in a well-equipped facility.

What you'll do#

• Provide high-standard medical care to patients.
• Assist veterinarians during surgeries and medical treatments.
• Perform diagnostic tests using advanced equipment, including in-house laboratory tools, digital radiography, and ultrasound systems.
• Engage in a collaborative team environment.
• Gain hands-on clinical experience across various veterinary disciplines.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an AVMA-accredited Veterinary School (DVM or VMD degree path).
• Interest in gaining experience with basic soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
• Interest in working with exotics and learning from a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist.
• Ability to benefit from mentorship provided by a team of experienced veterinarians.

• Compensation: This is a paid externship; a stipend is provided to offset housing and travel costs.
