About the role#

Dublin Animal Hospital is an AAHA-certified practice serving the Dublin, Virginia community. This externship provides veterinary students with hands-on experience in a collaborative environment alongside experienced veterinarians. The practice focuses on small animals, pocket pets, and exotics, providing exposure to a wide range of clinical cases.

What you'll do#

• Work alongside experienced veterinarians to gain practical clinical skills.
• Assist in preventive care and various surgical procedures.
• Learn about behavior consultations.
• Engage in mentorship opportunities to build professional confidence.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School (VMD or DVM degree path).
• A strong interest in small animal, pocket pets, and exotics veterinary care.
• A desire for mentorship and hands-on clinical experience.
