About the role#
Dublin Animal Hospital is an AAHA-certified practice serving the Dublin, Virginia community. This externship provides veterinary students with hands-on clinical experience and mentorship from experienced veterinarians. The practice focuses on small animals, pocket pets, and exotics, utilizing equipment such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, and EKG. Students will gain exposure to a collaborative environment with a focus on wellness, dentistry, and surgery.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside experienced veterinarians to build clinical skills.
- Assist in preventive care and various surgical procedures.
- Learn about behavior consultations.
- Participate in a mentorship program designed to support professional development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School (VMD or DVM degree path).
- Interest in small animal, pocket pets, and exotics veterinary care.
- A desire for mentorship and clinical experience.
