About the role#
Brandermill Animal Hospital in the Richmond, Virginia area is seeking a DVM/VMD extern to join our team. We operate as a three-DVM practice and focus on high-quality integrative and preventative care. Our hospital is AAHA accredited and maintains a collaborative, supportive environment. We invite interested students to visit our clinic to meet the team and see our culture firsthand.
What you'll do#
- Support the team in delivering integrative and preventative care.
- Assist with various veterinary procedures and routine surgeries.
- Engage in low-pressure visits to help foster relationships with our clients.
- Learn to operate our in-house lab, digital x-ray, and ultrasound equipment.
- Participate in mentorship programs designed to support your professional growth.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary school pursuing a DVM or VMD degree.
- Strong clinical skills in wellness and dentistry.
- Ability to work collaboratively with our team of veterinarians and technicians.
- Experience with basic and routine surgeries.
