About the role#
The DVM/VMD Externship at the Emergency Animal Hospital of Ellicott City offers veterinary students the opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in a collaborative, supportive environment. Externs receive mentorship from experienced veterinarians and engage in clinical training while working alongside a dedicated support staff.
What you'll do#
- Provide veterinary medical care.
- Assist in emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to deliver care.
- Engage in clinical training and receive mentorship from experienced veterinarians.
- Gain exposure to emergency medicine, wellness, dentistry, and surgery.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School (VMD or DVM degree path).
- An interest in developing clinical skills in wellness, dentistry, and surgery.
- A desire to work in a collaborative and positive team environment.
