About the role#
Beltsville Veterinary Hospital offers a clinical externship for veterinary students. This role provides hands-on experience in a collaborative environment with mentorship from multiple veterinarians. You will work within a team focused on preventative care and clear client communication.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the veterinary care of companion animals.
- Gain clinical experience with basic soft tissue and ophthalmic surgeries.
- Work with exotics.
- Use in-house lab capabilities, digital x-ray, and ultrasound equipment.
- Engage with a collaborative team of veterinary professionals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary school in a DVM or VMD degree path.
- Strong clinical skills in wellness and dentistry.
- Experience with basic soft tissue and ophthalmic surgeries.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
