About the role#

The Animal Care Center in Princeton, West Virginia, offers a veterinary externship for students currently pursuing a DVM or VMD degree. This role provides an opportunity to work within a practice known for its orthopedic care and comprehensive health services. Externs will receive mentorship from experienced veterinarians and gain exposure to clinical operations in a supportive environment.

What you'll do#

• Participate in daily clinical activities under the supervision of veterinary staff.
• Assist with diagnostics and orthopedic care procedures.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team on patient care plans.
• Learn surgical techniques, including soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.
• Engage directly with clients to provide education and communication.

• Enrollment in an AVMA-accredited veterinary school (DVM or VMD degree path).
