About the role#
Venture Solar is hiring a Business Development Intern to join the inside sales team in Stamford. You will work alongside senior leadership and operations to connect with homeowners across the Northeast. This role focuses on educating customers about solar energy and home electrification while scheduling meetings for the sales team. It is an opportunity to build business skills and learn how different parts of the company operate.
What you'll do#
- Contact prospective customers through phone, email, and other approved channels.
- Help homeowners understand solar energy and home electrification by answering questions and providing resources.
- Identify customer needs to find opportunities for sales conversations.
- Schedule qualified appointments and follow up to keep customers engaged.
- Coordinate with senior leadership and operations to support a smooth handoff to the sales team.
- Maintain accurate records of customer conversations and follow-up activities.
- Participate in training and coaching to improve your communication and sales skills.
- Work toward individual and team outreach goals.

Location & details#
- Location: Stamford, Connecticut (On-site).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
- Compensation: $18 per hour plus commission and performance-based bonuses.
