About the role#
As an AI Engineering Intern on the Competitive Intelligence team, you will design, build, and ship AI-powered tools. This is not an observational role. You will work with the team to automate processes, scale research, and provide insights to Sales teams. Your work will remain in use after your internship ends.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and manage AI chatbots, agents, and apps.
- Scale and accelerate market and competitive research and data analysis.
- Predict competitor moves and distribute competitive news.
- Automate the creation and maintenance of Sales resources.
- Challenge competitive resources to improve their quality.
- Deliver contextual insights to Sales teams.
- Automate Competitive Intelligence helpdesk responses.
- Deliver one functioning resource creation agent and one resource challenging agent.
- Increase the Sales support AI agent response accuracy.
- Implement Competitive Intelligence helpdesk v2 and design the technical comparison table builder v2.
- Document maintenance procedures for all delivered projects.
What you'll need#
- Rising Junior, Senior, or graduate student in Computer Science, Data Science, AI Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Practical experience with Anthropic Claude, including code and design projects.
- Working knowledge of agentic patterns like function calling, RAG, and basic orchestration.
- Exposure to version control and evaluating LLM output quality.
- Python proficiency and SQL exposure.
- Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and iterate quickly.
- Experience interviewing subject-matter experts to understand workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and follow competitive intelligence ethics policies.

- This is a remote position based in Georgia, USA.
- The internship runs from May to August 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
