- Analyze and improve algorithms for efficiency, scalability, stability, fairness, security, and privacy.
- Perform research to advance the science and technology of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
- Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional partners to communicate research plans, progress, and results.
- Publish research findings and contribute to work that applies to Meta product development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or pursuit of a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a relevant technical field.
- Experience with Python, C++, C, or Java.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- A first-author publication record at a top-tier ML, NLP, or Systems venue such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, CVPR, ICCV, or MLSys.
- Ability to obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment.
- Intent to return to your degree program after the internship.
- Experience building large-scale machine learning systems and training with large datasets.
- A track record of achieving results through grants, fellowships, patents, or publications.
- Demonstrated software engineering experience through internships, work, coding competitions, or open source contributions.
- Experience communicating complex research in a clear and precise manner.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in Menlo Park, CA; Seattle, WA; Boston, MA; New York, NY; or San Francisco, CA.
