About the role#
The Center of Expertise (CoE) team focuses on solving complex technical challenges and creating repeatable value for the business. As an AI & Automation Engineering Intern, you will spend the summer building tools that help our team scale. This is a hands-on position where your work is expected to remain in use after the internship concludes.
What you'll do#
- Design, prototype, and test AI-driven tools, agents, and workflow automations.
- Partner with team leads to identify repetitive tasks and convert them into automated or AI-assisted solutions.
- Build automation around internal feedback loops to improve information flow between teams.
- Evaluate AI platforms, frameworks, and tooling to determine where they add value.
- Document your work and hand it off so the team can maintain and scale it.
- Present your results and recommendations to CoE leadership.
What you'll need#
- Status as a rising Junior, Senior, or graduate student in an accredited college or university, preferably in Computer Science or Data Science.
- Hands-on experience with at least one programming language, with a preference for Python.
- Familiarity with AI and large language model concepts.
- Comfort working with APIs, scripting, and connecting systems.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a motivated self-starter.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid remote internship for Summer 2027.
- The program runs for 10 weeks from June through August 2027.
