About the role#
The Vehicle Integration & Test team handles the assembly, integration, and verification of our spacecraft and reentry systems. As an intern, you will bridge the gap between design and flight. You will gain hands-on experience with flight hardware, test operations, and real-time problem solving. This is a full-time, on-site role based in El Segundo, California, running between January and May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Own or contribute to hardware or software design for spacecraft or payloads.
- Develop and support system test campaigns.
- Perform analysis to support development and verification efforts.
- Work on projects such as procedure generation, ground support equipment design, and flight hardware upgrades.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
- Hands-on experience in an engineering discipline.
- Modeling or assembly CAD experience.
- Familiarity with Python programming.
- Ability to work on-site in California.

- Term: Spring 2027 (January to May).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $33.00 per hour, plus a housing stipend and commuter benefits.
- Citizenship: This role requires U.S. person status for export control compliance.
