About the role#
The Facilities Construction team handles the design and buildout of new facilities, tenant improvements, and infrastructure upgrades. As an intern, you will work on a collaborative team to support these projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in El Segundo, California, for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Own or support the full lifecycle of construction projects, including requirements capture, design reviews, permitting, budgeting, bidding, contracts, scheduling, buildout execution, and regulatory inspections.
- Maintain an active presence in the field through regular site visits and inspections.
- Communicate with architects, engineers, vendors, consultants, contractors, and inspectors.
- Manage the tools, documentation, data, processes, and systems related to construction projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in architecture, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or construction management.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, Smartsheet, or related applications.
- Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and structural engineering principles.
- Ability to manage priorities and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Experience with construction projects in aerospace, manufacturing, or pharmaceutical lab environments is a plus.
