About the role#
The Internship Coordinator helps students connect their academic studies to professional development. You will manage internship partnerships, advise students through the application process, and work with faculty to expand access to experiential learning. This role involves using data and feedback to improve program effectiveness and support student career readiness.
What you'll do#
- Advise students individually on internship exploration, resume building, and interview preparation.
- Cultivate relationships with regional employers, alumni, and nonprofit organizations to create new opportunities.
- Manage internship records, site approvals, and student documentation.
- Develop assessment strategies to measure internship quality and student learning outcomes.
- Track participation and internship results to support institutional accreditation and reporting.
- Coordinate engagement events like career panels and networking programs.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in higher education, counseling, student affairs, communications, business, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in career services, student support, or employer relations.
- A commitment to student development and inclusive support practices.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build collaborative relationships across campus and with external partners.
