About the role#
UVA Athletics Student Success is looking for Class Checkers to support student-athletes. You will monitor and record class attendance to help students succeed in their academic goals. This position is part-time and operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Arrive on time to your assigned class and stay for the full duration.
- Monitor and record attendance for designated student-athletes.
- Enter accurate attendance data into the database.
- Maintain professional communication with staff and students.
- Follow all NCAA and ACC rules, as well as the UVA Honor Code.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time UVA student in your second year of undergraduate studies or above.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while remaining attentive and professional.
- Reliability and punctuality are required.
- Federal work study students are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site at various buildings and classrooms across the UVA campus.
- The role involves traveling between different spaces on grounds.
- Compensation is $15 per hour.
