Coordinator of Pre-Collegiate Engagement

About the role#

The Haslam College of Business Office of Student Engagement is seeking a Coordinator of Pre-Collegiate Engagement to manage recruitment activities and build relationships with prospective students and their families. This full-time role focuses on representing the college through external events, digital and print communications, and on-campus programming.

What you'll do#

• Develop and facilitate external recruiting activities, including visiting high schools and attending college fairs across Tennessee.
• Create and maintain print and digital communications for prospective and admitted students.
• Support the development of on-campus programming, such as preview events and information sessions.
• Meet individually with prospective students and families to provide information about the college.
• Coordinate with various departments to gather information for student-facing materials.
• Build and maintain recruiting materials and visual aids, ensuring all communications meet university standards.
• Assess programming and communication metrics to inform future recruitment strategies.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Student Services, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to conduct public speaking.
• Demonstrated experience in communications and social media management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with diverse groups.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

Location & details#

• This is an on-site position based in Knoxville, Tennessee.
• The role requires frequent travel, primarily within the state of Tennessee, during the fall and spring semesters.
