Administrative Support Assistant- Student Conduct and Community Standards - UTK

About the role#

The Administrative Support Assistant (Office Manager) for Student Conduct and Community Standards (SCCS) provides essential administrative and case coordination to support students throughout the disciplinary process. This is a 12-month, full-time staff position within the Division of Student Life.

What you'll do#

• Assist with receiving, reviewing, and evaluating confidential Student Conduct incident reports and help assign them to the appropriate staff member.
• Maintain confidential case files using systems such as Maxient and Banner.
• Manage student disciplinary holds, including adding and removing them as necessary.
• Provide administrative support for department programs and services, including event coordination and document preparation for formal hearings.
• Handle hiring documentation and assist with office budget and travel coordination.
• Manage general office operations, including inventory, supply ordering, and responding to inquiries via phone and email.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of administrative office experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively within a team environment.
• Familiarity with higher education environments or student disciplinary processes is preferred.
