About the role#
The Student Persistence & Outreach Coordinator provides proactive, holistic, and student-centered support to students at the University of Maine at Augusta. This role focuses on helping students navigate academic, financial, personal, or wellness-related challenges that may impact their progress. You will work within the student success network and the CARE Team to identify barriers to degree completion and promote engagement.
What you'll do#
- Manage student intervention systems and track outcomes to identify trends.
- Develop targeted initiatives to improve student persistence and graduation rates.
- Serve as a liaison between academic departments and student support services to ensure students receive timely assistance.
- Use data-informed practices to evaluate student outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to coordinate resources for students.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree.
- At least two years of experience working with students in a higher education setting.
- Proficiency with student information systems, case management software, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and persistence.
- An ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
