About the role#
The Alumni Engagement student clerk helps run programs and events for alumni, fans, and friends of the University of Iowa. You will work with the team to manage registrations and keep our records current.
What you'll do#
- Process program registrations by phone and email.
- Enter participant data into our constituent database.
- Prepare and distribute emails and mailings.
- Research information to keep contact lists accurate.
- Help plan and run special events like GradFest and commencement activities.
- Handle general office duties and errands.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently enrolled University of Iowa student taking at least 12 credit hours.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work with high productivity and accuracy.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- You must be able to lift items up to 25 pounds and walk up and down stairs frequently.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Iowa City, Iowa.
- Work is on-site.
- This is a paid, part-time position with rolling recruitment.
- Hours are flexible between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- You will work 12 to 15 hours per week during the academic year and potentially 20 to 30 hours per week during the summer.
- Some tasks may require working evenings or weekends.
