About the role#
The Office of Equal Opportunity at the University of Cincinnati seeks a student to assist with data reporting, administrative operations, and educational programming. You will support the office by managing complex, confidential information and ensuring the university remains compliant with federal and state regulations.
What you'll do#
- Access, validate, and reconcile data from internal and external sources like the Census and Department of Labor.
- Produce on-demand data analytics and build dashboards using tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Write and execute database queries and algorithms in SQL, R, Python, or Access.
- Develop presentation content in PowerPoint and Canva.
- Assist with survey design, data dissemination, and reporting results.
- Coordinate educational programs for the office.
- Handle clerical duties including filing, scanning, and mail sorting.
- Greet visitors, answer phones, and advise office patrons with a focus on confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED and at least 16 years of age.
- Current enrollment at a secondary or post-secondary institution on at least a part-time basis.
- Academic background in Business, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Law, Psychology, or Human Resources.
- Experience with data validation, statistical analysis, and complex reporting.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, R, Python, or Access.
- Familiarity with visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, or ERP systems.
- Ability to create and update content using design tools.
