About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Student Assistant to support the Consumer Product Development team within the Information Technology Department. This role assists with the routine maintenance and operation of consumer-facing websites and applications. You will work in a hybrid environment.
What you'll do#
- Manage incoming support requests through ServiceNow, research technical solutions, and resolve tickets.
- Assist in the development and updates for consumer-facing websites.
- Add and update website content including text and images.
- Perform quality assurance testing to ensure website functionality and report any issues.
- Create and prepare graphics and images for web use.
- Organize project information and provide technical support to team members.
What you'll need#
- You must be a college student attending an accredited institution on the university affiliation list.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six-semester or nine-quarter units. Graduate students must be enrolled in at least four-semester or six-quarter units.
- Your declared major must be in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or Graphic/UX/Web Design.
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS and a basic understanding of website operations.
- Previous experience in an IT role or graphic design.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong critical thinking, professional attitude, and punctuality.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Sacramento, California.
- Work is performed in a hybrid modality.
- This is a paid, part-time, temporary, non-benefited position.
- Students generally work up to 24 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during breaks.
- You must live and work in the state of California for the duration of your employment.
