About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Student Assistant to work as a Sound & Light Technician at the University Union. This is a part-time, on-site role for Sacramento State students. You will support events by managing technical equipment in a variety of settings.
What you'll do#
- Operate built-in lighting and sound systems for events.
- Manage projection systems and spotlights.
- Run portable sound systems, including mixers with up to 24 channels.
- Work a varied schedule that includes nights and weekends based on event needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Sacramento State during the regular term.
- Minimum of nine semester units for undergraduates or six units for graduate students.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Prior experience with sound or lighting systems is preferred.
- Majors in Media Studies, Communications, or Art are welcome.

- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $17.15 per hour.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during breaks.
