About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Student Assistant for the Healthcare Facilities Maintenance (HFM) unit. This position provides administrative and program support under the supervision of the HFM Support Supervisor. You will gain experience in state agency operations while supporting the HFM Core Team.
What you'll do#
- Manage the HFM support inbox and help desk by analyzing issues and routing them for compliance, training, reporting, and contracts.
- Convert maintenance programs and policies into ISO format.
- Analyze data from weekly field reports and the Human Resources Dashboard.
- Support statewide procurement initiatives and track Strike Force Team staffing.
- Create and update content in Microsoft Project.
- Maintain task code spreadsheets and ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare training documents and develop reports using tools like ERP LX, Sage X3, and Microsoft Excel.
- Review letters, manuals, and procedures for accuracy.
- Assist in the development of unit guidelines and ISO documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student in Business Administration and Management.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six-semester units or nine quarter units. Graduate students must be enrolled in at least four-semester units or six quarter units.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to analyze information, identify problems, and find solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with team members.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Sacramento, California.
- Work is performed on-site in an office environment.
- This is a part-time, non-benefited position.
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM. You may work up to 24 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during academic breaks.
