About the role#
The Digital Transformation Office at the California Department of Motor Vehicles is hiring a student assistant to support business process analysis and AI integration. This role involves working on data validation, documentation, and reporting. You will work in a hybrid capacity based at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.
What you'll do#
- Analyze business processes to find opportunities for automation.
- Prepare datasets and perform data validation to support AI model evaluation.
- Build dashboards, visual reports, and track project metrics.
- Create user guides, training materials, and knowledge-based documentation.
- Research AI trends and help prepare executive presentations.
- Assist with project reporting, risk tracking, and deployment readiness tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student at an accredited institution.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six-semester units or nine quarter units.
- A declared major in Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of web development concepts and data analysis principles.
- Ability to learn new software tools quickly.
- Experience with SQL, Excel, or analytics tools is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders.
