About the role#
The University Union at Sacramento State is hiring an Event Services Attendant to support meetings and events. You will work with faculty, staff, students, and the community to manage scheduling and provide on-site support for various gatherings.
What you'll do#
- Manage event scheduling using specialized software.
- Assist customers within event spaces to ensure events run smoothly.
- Operate audio-visual equipment, including projection systems and spotlights.
- Manage built-in lighting and sound systems.
- Operate a portable sound system with a 24-channel mixer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Sacramento State as an undergraduate taking at least nine units or a graduate student taking at least six units.
- A responsible and dependable approach to your work.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including some nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs, as well as stand or sit for extended periods.
- Prior experience with sound or lighting systems is preferred but not required.

- Position is located on-site in Sacramento, California.
- This is a part-time, temporary student position.
- Work schedules are based on event needs and will be coordinated around your classes.
