About the role#
As a Computer Technical Support Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting the technology that keeps our teams productive. You will work alongside experienced IT professionals to resolve hardware and software issues, assist with system deployments, and support enterprise IT operations. This role is designed to build a strong foundation for a career in Information Technology within an aerospace environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide first-line technical support for employees across a variety of hardware, software, and business applications.
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, mobile device, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with new computer deployments, software installations, system configurations, and user setup.
- Maintain accurate documentation, service tickets, and IT asset information.
- Collaborate with experienced IT professionals on complex technical challenges.
- Assist with server administration, user account management, and remote access support.
- Participate in software testing, upgrades, and technology improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and computer hardware is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Duluth, Georgia (On-site).
- Schedule: Full-time, rolling term with a 9/80 schedule available (every other Friday off).
- Compensation: Paid internship.
- Note: Universal Avionics products and technology are subject to U.S. export laws and regulations, including ITAR and EAR requirements. Employment eligibility may depend on work authorization and citizenship status.
