About the role#
United Rentals is seeking a Sales Intern for a paid, full-time, on-site position in Fort Worth, Texas. This role provides an opportunity to learn the sales process by working alongside inside and outside sales teams. The objective is to gain industry knowledge and practical skills with the goal of transitioning into a Sales Associate role upon graduation. This position is designated as safety-sensitive.
What you'll do#
- Participate in safety training to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Support branch operational efficiency, including tasks such as equipment check-in, equipment cleaning, and customer assistance.
- Shadow inside and outside sales representatives to understand their roles and the company focus on customer service.
- Receive training on internal systems, including RentalMan and Salesforce.
- Attend departmental and cross-functional meetings, ride-alongs, work sessions, and conference calls.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior relevant work experience is preferred.
