About the role#

As a Service Technician Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with the equipment United Rentals provides and learn the operational side of the business. This paid internship is designed for individuals pursuing a technical degree or certification, offering a path toward full-time service technician roles within our Service Department upon completion of your education.

What you'll do#

• Learn the various types of equipment available for rent and their specific applications.
• Perform manual and maintenance tasks to support daily branch operations.
• Provide labor assistance to seasoned mechanics during equipment servicing.
• Deliver exceptional service to our customers.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or GED and current enrollment in a technical degree or certification program.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Self-motivated approach with a strong sense of urgency.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
