Intern Diesel Mechanic (Paid)

About the role#

As a Service Technician Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with the equipment United Rentals provides and learn the maintenance tasks necessary to support branch operations. This role is designed for individuals currently pursuing a technical degree or certification, offering a pathway toward full-time service technician positions upon graduation.

What you'll do#

• Learn the various types of equipment in the fleet and their specific applications.
• Perform manual and maintenance tasks to support daily branch operations.
• Provide labor assistance to seasoned mechanics.
• Deliver exceptional service to customers.
• Prepare for potential transition into full-time service technician roles.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or GED.
• Currently pursuing a technical degree or certification, such as Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Self-motivated approach with a strong sense of urgency.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
