About the role#
As a Service Technician Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with the various types of equipment rented by United Rentals and learn their specific applications. This role is designed to prepare you for a future career in automotive, diesel, or other mechanical fields. You will support branch operations through manual and maintenance tasks while working alongside experienced mechanics.
What you'll do#
- Assist seasoned mechanics with labor and maintenance tasks.
- Learn to operate and maintain various types of rental equipment.
- Provide exceptional service to customers.
- Develop the skills necessary to transition into full-time mechanical roles upon completion of your degree or certification.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Currently pursuing a technical degree or certification.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Self-motivated approach with a strong sense of urgency.
- Superior communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
