UNL Business Development Intern

About the role#

The UNL Business Development Intern supports Union Bank & Trust initiatives across the City, East, and Innovation campuses at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. This role focuses on building relationships, participating in events, leading marketing projects, and gaining exposure to various banking divisions including Ag, Mortgage, Commercial Loans, and Credit.

What you'll do#

• Support and grow relationships within the UNL community, including faculty, staff, administration, and students.
• Attend monthly UNL new employee orientation events and various internal and external business meetings.
• Participate in planning and executing New Student Enrollment events, including info sessions and parent presentations.
• Assist with marketing initiatives such as Welcome Back events and Homecoming sponsorships.
• Co-facilitate financial literacy presentations and assist with monitoring monthly budgets.
• Contribute to deposit and loan portfolio growth.
• Rotate through multiple departments to understand bank operations, policies, and compliance requirements.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• A valid Nebraska Driver’s License.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and work in a sedentary office environment.

• Work Modality: On-site.
• This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
