Student Mortgage Development Intern

About the role#

The Student Mortgage Development Internship is a summer program designed to prepare incoming high school seniors for professional environments. Interns will build relationships with mentors, gain experience in a corporate setting, and practice work prioritization while assisting with real-world operations.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with project teams and leadership to maximize productivity and monitor schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
• Help discern requirements, assign tasks, and complete administrative duties such as research, scheduling, and emails.
• Prepare training presentations and job aids, document new or existing processes, and review procedures for usability.
• Assist with marketing and promotional events.
• Participate in team Gallup initiatives and learn about Gallup strengths.
• Review loan documentation, index, file, and update systems of record for various loan types.
• Verify county tax records, receipts, and servicing check data for mortgages.
• Perform data analysis on fee groups and data sets using Excel to inform business decisions.
• Adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations, including completing compliance training and reporting any issues.

What you'll need#

• Successful completion of your Junior year at Lincoln High School and the LPS Take Charge course.
• Proficiency with technology and an aptitude for learning new systems.
• A valid Nebraska Driver’s License.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
• A keen attention to detail, a collaborative attitude, and the ability to work independently.
