About the role#
This internship is designed for Tyonek Shareholders. It spans approximately 20 weeks, running from late November 2026 through May 2027. You will work between 30 and 40 hours per week, up to a total of 480 hours. This is a paid, full-time temporary position.
What you'll do#
Your work will vary based on department needs. You may assist with event planning, general office projects, and administrative tasks. You will also participate in community development projects. Depending on the site, you could gain experience in IT, construction, land management, manufacturing, or accounting support.
What you'll need#
- You must be a Tyonek Shareholder.
- You are currently pursuing studies in Business Administration or Accounting.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- You are a resourceful team player who works well with others.
- We value dependability, integrity, and a positive attitude.
- You must be able to sit for long periods, walk or stand on various surfaces, and climb stairs.
- You should be able to lift 30 pounds occasionally and use your hands for grasping and reaching.
Location & details#
This role is on-site at one of our locations in Anchorage or Tyonek, Alaska, or in Madison, Alabama, or Warner Robins, Georgia. We maintain a drug-free workplace and require post-offer substance abuse testing.
