About the role#
Tutor Intelligence builds AI for a fleet of robots operating in factories. As a research intern, you will build the algorithms and systems that drive robot capabilities in the lab and in the field. You will work on deploying robot learning algorithms on hardware at scale. This role offers the chance to contribute to impactful projects that may culminate in a first author robotics paper. You will have the flexibility to shape your specific focus to tackle the current frontier of robotics development.
What you'll do#
- Build AI algorithms and systems for novel robot capabilities.
- Develop and deploy robot learning algorithms on real hardware.
- Work with a research organization to solve open-ended problems.
- Contribute to research that may lead to a first author robotics paper.
What you'll need#
- Exceptionally strong programming skills.
- Significant research experience, including first author publications at peer-reviewed conferences.
- A collaborative mindset and a desire to work closely with a team of researchers and engineers.
- Experience solving open-ended research problems.
- Interest in reshaping the physical economy by filling factories with intelligent robots.
- Comfort working in factory or warehouse environments.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.

- Term: Winter 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time, on-site.
