Facility Engineer Intern

About the role#

The Facility Engineer Intern program at TSMC Arizona provides hands-on experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Interns work directly with engineering and construction teams to support the operation, validation, and development of critical infrastructure systems that power advanced technology fabrication.

What you'll do#

• Support the operation and validation of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, and power distribution.
• Assist in the operation and validation of HVAC, air abatement, and chilled water systems.
• Monitor key construction activities and collaborate with teams to oversee structural integrity.
• Contribute to special projects within your assigned engineering scope.
• Assist with system walkdowns, startups, and the development of operations and maintenance documentation.
• Troubleshoot commissioning challenges and resolve field issues to ensure project execution.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. program at an accredited university.
• Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
• Self-motivated learner with a proactive approach to collaboration.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and design is preferred.
