About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027 based in Shoreview, Minnesota. You will work alongside engineering professionals to support new product development and sustaining engineering projects. This role involves applying your academic knowledge to real-world development tasks while working on specialized test and measurement instruments.
What you'll do#
- Perform electrical circuit tasks including analog to digital interfaces and circuit modeling.
- Use electronic design simulation software, PCA schematic capture, and layout design tools.
- Gain experience with embedded systems using NXP and ST-Micro MCUs.
- Conduct embedded software programming, development, testing, and debugging.
- Perform hardware-level product testing and soldering for circuit rework.
- Use a pre-scan EMC lab to test products against compliance requirements.
- Learn about design requirements for electromagnetic, safety, and wireless compliance.
- Use oscilloscope probing techniques to verify circuit operation.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student majoring in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 CUM GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in C or C++ programming languages.
- Computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, OneNote, and Adobe PDF.
- Strong data analysis and mathematical proficiency.
- Ability to work in both an office and lab environment.
- High attention to detail, self-motivation, and a strong desire to learn.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

- Modality: On-site.
- Duration: 12-week summer program.
- Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week.
- Pay: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
