STUDENT NURSE INTERN

About the role#

This internship provides nursing students with a foundation for their future professional careers. You will work alongside a selected charge nurse and partner with an RN to learn and develop clinical skills. Interns may also work additional shifts as a Student Nurse PCA when not working directly with their charge nurse partner. This role is available to students from selected TriHealth Education Partners prior to their senior year.

What you'll do#

• Provide assistance and perform basic activities of daily living under the supervision of an RN.
• Perform specified treatments and procedures as directed.
• Assist in coordinating patient flow and communicate information through telecommunication devices.
• Handle clerical duties and non-direct patient care activities as assigned.
• Demonstrate an interest in professional development and maintain respectful communication with patients and staff.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an approved nursing program.
• Successful completion of the junior year of formal nursing education prior to starting the role.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50+ lbs.
