Pharmacy Intern - PRN

About the role#

This is a PRN Pharmacy Intern position at Good Samaritan Hospital. Working under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, you will support the hospital-wide unit-dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program. This role is on-site and involves a rotation of weekends and holidays.

What you'll do#

• Perform technical and clerical duties for the unit-dose drug distribution system.
• Prepare intravenous medications, including chemotherapeutic preparations, hyperalimentations, and antibiotics.
• Pre-fill patient cassette drawers with unit dose medications.
• Maintain confidential reports and manage data entry and retrieval within the computer system.
• Procure and fill requests for pharmaceutical supplies and deliver them to nursing units.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma.
• Current enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Active registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern.
• Up to 1 year of experience in a related field.
