Student Nurse Acute Care Technician - CVICU

About the role#

As a Student Nurse Acute Care Technician in the CVICU at Bethesda North Hospital, you will assist clinical staff in providing care to patients with high-acuity needs. This role involves performing basic patient care tasks, supporting unit operations, and maintaining medical records under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is a PRN, on-site position designed for nursing students to gain hands-on clinical experience.

What you'll do#

• Perform and document basic patient care tasks under the direct supervision of an RN.
• Maintain a safe patient environment, report safety hazards, and follow emergency procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring respectful and timely information exchange.
• Manage unit supplies and equipment, including reporting malfunctions and ensuring availability.
• Provide clerical support, maintain accurate medical records, and assist with patient flow.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma.
• Current enrollment as a nursing student (LPN or RN).
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation or semester.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform math and reading tasks appropriate for the position, along with experience in computer operations and multi-line phone systems.

• Location: Bethesda North Hospital, Montgomery, Ohio.
• Work Modality: On-site, inpatient.
• Shift: Days, 6:30am - 7:00pm.
• Employment Type: PRN (as needed).
