IT Intern

About the role#

This IT internship at Treasure Island Resort & Casino offers a practical, well-rounded perspective on enterprise technology operations. You will support the IT department by managing help desk requests, maintaining core infrastructure, and assisting with system administration. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role that requires a flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, and special events such as concerts and festivals.

What you'll do#

• Log, troubleshoot, and track Help Desk requests while providing end-user support for hardware and software systems.
• Administer and maintain Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, DNS, and DHCP environments.
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
• Assist the Network Team in the maintenance and support of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor the Help Desk ticketing system to ensure timely resolution and documentation of issues.
• Collaborate with IT staff and vendors to test systems, document results, and maintain department procedures.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a 2 or 4-year post-secondary program pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
