About the role#
The Call Center Intern at Treasure Island Resort & Casino supports daily operations by managing guest inquiries and reservations. This role provides exposure to casino management systems, departmental training processes, and guest relations. Interns are expected to gain a comprehensive understanding of property amenities and contribute to the administrative functions of the call center.
What you'll do#
- Manage incoming calls to provide information on property amenities, promotions, events, and Passport Club benefits.
- Handle guest questions, concerns, and complaints while maintaining professional service standards.
- Process reservations for the hotel, restaurants, and promotional events, ensuring accurate rate quoting.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of the call center training manual and participate in the interview process for new staff.
- Maintain proficiency in Casino Management Systems to educate guests on features and benefits.
- Support property needs during three to five special events, such as concerts, fairs, and festivals.
- Input data into the Property Management System and process advance deposit credit card information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2 or 4-year post-secondary program in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows.
- Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be accurate, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
- Previous guest service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive hand and wrist motions.
Location & details#
- Location: Welch, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, rolling term. Requires flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
- Environment: This role involves working in office, restaurant, gaming floor, and convention center settings, which may include exposure to loud noises, flashing lights, and smoke, as well as outdoor event environments.
