Customer Service Intern

About the role#

This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Welch, Minnesota. This role offers exposure to casino operations and guest services, requiring a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Interns will gain experience in call center management, marketing systems, and event support.

What you'll do#

• Manage incoming calls by providing detailed information on property amenities, promotions, events, and Passport Club benefits.
• Handle reservations for the hotel, restaurants, and promotional events while accurately quoting rates.
• Address guest questions, concerns, and complaints effectively.
• Provide clear directions to the property and input information into the Property Management System.
• Assist Call Center Supervisors with scheduling, training manual creation, and the interview process for new representatives.
• Support promotional events, including working at parades, concerts, fairs, and festivals.
• Maintain and organize the policies and procedures manual.
• Process advance deposit credit card information accurately.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a 2 or 4-year post-secondary program pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows.
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to retain large amounts of information and speak in a clear, pleasant voice.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Guest service experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds, standing, or sitting for long periods.

• Location: Welch, MN.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Pay: $14.25 per hour.
• Environment: The role involves working in office, restaurant, gaming floor, and convention center settings, which may include loud noises, flashing lights, and exposure to cigarette smoke. Some duties are performed outdoors for events.
