About the role#
Trane Technologies offers a 12-week summer internship program for students interested in Construction Project Management. This role focuses on building efficiency and sustainability through our equipment, service, and building automation offerings. You will work alongside a project manager to execute projects within specific time frames and resource constraints. This position provides a pathway to explore a career in this field and potential entry into our Graduate Training Program after you graduate.
What you'll do#
- Plan and coordinate assigned projects, establish schedules, and set procedures to meet system objectives.
- Work with the engineering team to support programming and material selection.
- Manage operations budgets by revising estimates and monitoring forecasted costs.
- Prepare sub-contractor requests for quotations and evaluate incoming proposals.
- Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, and owners regarding project scope, budgets, and performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year before the internship begins.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
- A valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with a clean driving record.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
